Aranda is Poggio ai Laghi’s contemporary interpretation of Supertuscan style. A blend of Sangiovese (40%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%), Cabernet Franc (20%), and Merlot (20%), it combines elegance and intensity, resulting in a modern, structured red with strong personality
The grapes, hand-harvested from the most suitable vineyards, ferment in concrete vats at controlled temperature, with long macerations on the skins to extract structure and complexity. The wine then ages for about 18 months in French oak barriques, partly new and partly second-passage, achieving a precise balance between power and finesse.
The nose opens with a complex bouquet of ripe wild berries, alongside notes of licorice and cocoa. Light spicy nuances appear as well, enriching the aromatic profile without weighing it down.
On the palate it is dense and enveloping, with well-integrated tannins and an elegant texture. Structure supports a long, harmonious, coherent finish, making the tasting deep and satisfying.
Ideal with substantial meat dishes, game, aged cheeses, and cured meats. A characterful red for those seeking complexity and intensity.
